Who are the parents of your puppy?

 

All of the adult dogs in our program are not only AKC registered but are also fully health tested above and beyond what our breed standards call for. We greatly enjoy participating in volunteer therapy work within our local communities alongside our adult dogs. We are registered with Pet Partners as well as with North Star Therapy Animals and do 2-10 hours of volunteer work with our adult dogs every week. We visit schools, nursing homes, the MSP airport, hospice care units and senior living facilities. The adult dogs that have completed enough documented hours are titled Therapy Dogs with AKC. We take great care and pride in keeping all of our adult dogs (whether upcoming, active or retired) in our family as healthy and happy as possible! All of the dogs that have been in our program are still living with us, we truly mean it when we say; they are our family members! They all see our family veterinarian annually, are fed a high quality food, visit our family groomer bimonthly, are kept up to date on all medical care and live in our home as indoor members of our family. We love to spoil and pamper our dogs! We welcome visitors to our home with open arms so that they can take all the time they need to get to know us, our adult dogs as well as tour our facility and of course, play with our puppies!! We don't always have puppies available but when we do, feel free to come and help us keep them active and well socialized for their new families!

How do we prepare your puppy for life?

 

We take our job of raising our little ones extremely seriously and want to ensure we give them the very best start to life that we can! Our hands are often the first thing they feel, even before their doggie mama. We are clearing airways, checking umbilical cords helping to ensure the puppy is safe and ready to nurse. We know the exact birth time of every puppy and can tell them all apart within hours. We handle them daily until they go home with you! They are introduced to the litter box as soon as everyone has their eyes opened - we use this skill as a stepping stone into outdoor potty training. They are kept on a biweekly worming schedule and are kept up to date on all age appropriate healthcare by Dr Beth. We spend hours with our puppies daily, especially in the 4-8 week stage - helping them to develop confidence and essential life/social skills that they will employ once they go home with you! Our puppies are raised with our friendly nursery room felines! They go through a 6 week crate training program so they are 100% crate trained by 8 weeks old - sleeping through the night, accident free! They also go through a 5 week Introduction to Basic Obedience course where they will learn all basic skills before going home with you! The families of our puppies get to enjoy weekly individualized information, photo and video updates to keep them always in the loop with how their new baby is growing and learning! Feel free to schedule multiple on site visits with your puppy after they are 4 weeks or older!
